Celebrity Kids Who Became Successful Fashion Models
It's no secret that celebrity offspring are blessed with good genes, big personalities, and famous last names. But that doesn’t mean they’re destined to live in their parents’ shadows forever! These model kids have carved their own path, becoming recognizable superstars in their own right.
Famous parent(s): Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall
Since being signed by Independent Models in 2008, Georgia May Jagger has walked the runways of Marchesa, Fendi, and Burberry Prorsum and has starred in ad campaigns for Rimmel London and Sisley. She even represented “British fashion” in the 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony alongside Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Lily Donaldson.
Famous parent(s): Gavin Rossdale and Pearl Lowe
Daisy Lowe began modeling at the tender age of two, but her career didn’t really take off until she was 15. A model scout spotted her in Camden Town, and shortly after she signed with Select, a London modeling agency. She’s since been featured in major fashion magazines, including Vogue Italia, and has modeled for an incredible array of clients, including Chanel, Agent Provocateur, Burberry, Converse Shoes, and Louis Vuitton.
Famous parent(s): Sean Penn and Robin Wright
After a long stint of low-paying jobs (delivering pizzas, waitressing, hostessing, interning…), Dylan Penn finally hit the modeling jackpot when she landed a Gap billboard campaign in 2013. In the next year alone, she appeared in GQ, W, and Elle, and has since gone on to be featured in countless high-fashion editorials and cover shoots.
Famous parent(s): Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook
Sailor Brinkley Cook first hit the fashion radar when she debuted in Teen Vogue’s August 2013 issue. Now on the IMG Models roster, her burgeoning career includes campaigns for Claire’s accessories and Lord & Taylor.
Famous parent(s): Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber
Kaia Gerber, a mini-me of her supermodel mom, appeared in a Young Versace campaign and graced the pages of Teen Vogue—all by the age of 13. Famous mom or not, that takes major confidence.
Famous parent(s): Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson
Long before she became a household name thanks to a little film called 50 Shades of Grey, Dakota Johnson dabbled in modeling. After signing with IMG in 2006, she performed as Miss Golden Globe at the 2006 awards ceremony, was the face of Mango jeans, and shot the "Rising Star" campaign for Australian fashion label Wish. And now, since making the film of her lifetime, she’s appeared on the covers of Vogue, Glamour, Elle, Vanity Fair, and other top fashion magazines.
Famous parent(s): Annie Lennox
This British-born model has strutted for the likes of Burberry, Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Miu Miu, Christopher Kane, and other notable designers, and has appeared in numerous editorials and major advertising campaigns worldwide. She’s also a talented portrait painter who landed her first solo art show in March of 2015.
Famous parent(s): David and Victoria Beckham
Romeo isn’t the only Beckham child to star in a fashion campaign. His older brother Brooklyn, who’s the spitting image of his father, landed his first official fashion campaign when he was 16. He became the face of Polish Sportswear label Reserved, which has over 1,000 stores across Europe.
Famous parent(s): Mariel Hemingway and Stephen Crisman
Dree Hemingway is the daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway and the great-granddaughter of American writer Ernest Hemingway. Since moving to New York to pursue her modeling career, she’s fronted campaigns for a number of major brands, including Gucci, Valentino, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, H&M, DKNY, and Abercrombie & Fitch, and has appeared in editorials for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, i-D, W, and more.
