Most of Megan’s career was spent in banking, where she held roles of increasing responsibility ranging from commercial lender to chief credit officer. Based on her banking accomplishments, she was chosen by her CEO to attend Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, where she earned a graduate-level certificate in banking. Megan’s greatest accomplishment during her banking career was re-writing and managing the credit (lending) policies for Zions Bancorporation. It was in this role that she truly realized how her love for writing and passion for finance could be used to help other people.
In 2018, Megan moved back to her hometown in rural Arizona, after spending years following her banking career to Colorado, Utah, and Washington, where she works as a freelance contributor and accounting professor. She previously served as a writer and editor for Fit Small Business, where she managed content related to Business Finance, Personal Finance, Accounting, Taxes, Banking, and Credit Cards.
