If you're on a budget and you need a suit, here are five great places to buy women's plus size business suits for less than $125. Every businesswoman should try to budget for at least one high-quality "power suit," and these stores offer suits nice that are enough to present a professional image without killing your bank account.

    Lane Bryant

Lane Bryant's brick-and-mortar and online stores both offer affordable business and casual clothing for women who are size 14 and up. When visiting their retail store, you can mix and match jackets, skirts, and suit pants, which is especially helpful if you wear one size on top and another on the bottom. Some of the items are trendy, but Lane Bryant also offers staple traditional business suits.

Some of their jewelry and hosiery are costly; therefore, you may need to shop around for those items. Lane Bryant also offers free bra measurement services in-store to help you find the perfect fit.

    Roamans.com

This is a great store for women who wear sizes 14 to 44 and want modest but attractive business attire. This online merchant offers many cuts without plunging necklines, too-tight bodices, or super-short hemlines.

Roamans.com has a full line of suits and dresses that fall below the knee for those who don't want to flaunt their legs. They offer a wide variety of clothing from conservative to trendy and flirty at rock-bottom prices. You may want to invest in at least one high-end, pricier suit for power events, but their business attire is quite appropriate for day-to-day office wear.

    Catherines.com

Catherine's boasts affordable prices exclusively for women in sizes 16w through 34w and 0X-5X . It offers a small variety of business suits for plus-size women and carries the staple navy, gray, and black pinstripe in pant sets and jacket/dress suits. Their suits tend to run a little more on the conservative side, but they do offer jackets, skirts, and pants separately for women who wear different sizes on tops and bottoms.

    Nordstrom Rack

This off-price retail store is very different from parent company Nordstrom, Inc. The prices are much lower and the atmosphere is less sophisticated.  Also, the individual stock will vary from store to store.

The Rack offers name-brand designer garments that oftentimes could not sell in other stores. They can include damaged, mismatched, overstocked, and leftover garments, as well as off-season items. You can usually find a surplus of larger-sized clothing ranging from fancy evening wear to business attire. You can also bargain hunt for shoes and handbags here.

    WomanWithin.com

This site is worth mentioning because it regularly runs specials and offers deep discounts. Their line of skirts and tops may be a little too casual for the workplace, and their suits tend to be seasonal items rather than staple business suits. Suit stocks vary considerably, but it's worth checking from time to time to find items to flush out your business wardrobe because they are so affordable.

You'll find higher-priced attire at most of these stores, but you can pretty much count on finding something of good quality for under $125.
